For a beauty blogger, I have hardly any makeup brushes. If I’m buying makeup related things (this happens more often than I’d like to admit), I prefer getting a product just because it feels a bit more tangible. However, once I’d noticed this habit, I couldn’t get the idea that I ‘needed’ more brushes out of my head. This is dangerous territory. I’m going to start hoarding brushes, I can feel it …
Still, after sitting on the idea for some time, I decided the most pressing issue was my lack of decent eye brushes. I was lucky enough to be given some money for Christmas, and I splurged on the highly-recommended ZOEVA Complete Eye Set!
I bought my set from Beauty Bay, and I was really impressed. Because I spent over £40, Next Day Delivery was free – I had these brushes in my hands less than 24 hours after I’d ordered them! I also got to choose a free gift with my order, and I picked an Anne Semonin toner, which was apparently worth £7.50. I’d definitely buy from Beauty Bay again.
The Complete Eye Brush Set comes with 12 brushes, obviously all eye-makeup-related. I did really love the look of the Complete Eye Set Vol. 2, but I really wanted the two eyeliner brushes which were only in the original set. Here’s a closer look at all the brushes I got:
142 Concealer Buffer
224 Luxe Defined Crease
227 Luxe Soft Definer
228 Luxe Crease
230 Luxe Pencil
231 Luxe Petit Crease
234 Luxe Smoky Shader
237 Detail Shader
315 Fine Liner
317 Wing Liner
322 Brow Line
I’m absolutely over the moon with these brushes. They’re so soft and they look really beautiful, I’m sure they’ll make gorgeous eye looks! I’m particularly excited to try the Wing Liner and Fine Liner brushes, now that my winged eyeliner technique is getting more reliable. I’m also looking forward to using the Brow Line because I find my Real Techniques Brow Brush a little fat for my eyebrows (it’s a few years old now). I want to buy an Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade, and I don’t think there’s much point splashing out on a high-end product if I haven’t got a good quality brush to apply it!
Do you like ZOEVA brushes? Or do you know any other brush brands I should try?
