Whenever I want to buy myself a small treat, it’s always a lipstick – they’re such iconic makeup product to me. I’ve been experimenting a lot more with lip colour and lipstick this year, and I already seemed to have a range to choose from! Rimmel lipsticks are some of my favourites and for today’s post, I thought I’d show you my current collection. I wanted to do something a little different, rather than just reviews!
Moisture Renew Lipstick: 320 Fuschia
This was the first lipstick I ever bought! I think I was about 14, and naturally I went for the brightest pink I could find. I loved it so much when I bought it, but I got a bit more self-conscious in my mid-teens and stopped wearing it. They’ve changed the range a bit now, and I think this one’s been renamed to Oxford Street Fuchsia. This tube is probably way to old for me to use now, but I just can’t bear to throw it away!
Lasting Finish Lipstick: 006 Pink Blush, 206 Nude Pink and 077 Asia
I have a habit of always picking up a lipstick when I got into Boots, and I justify it by buying ‘wearable’ shades – because, you know, this is really pretty and I’ll totally wear it all the time! These Lasting Finish lipsticks are creamy with a sheer finish, adding a bit of colour and shimmer but blending in with your natural lip colour. I think my favourite of these is 077 Asia; its an interesting, almost mushroom-toned nude (and definitely wearable!).
Lasting Finish By Kate Lipstick in 01, 03 and 05
I love Kate Moss, and I love her Rimmel lipsticks! I originally picked up 03 in my search for the perfect nude shade, and it’s since become one of my favourites. It looks amazing with the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob! I loved the formula of it so much that I bought 01 and 05 too. Kate’s range are more pigmented that Rimmel’s normal Lasting Finish lippys, and create a bolder look with a bit less shimmer.
Lasting Finish by Kate Matte Lipstick: 107 and 111
Kate’s matte lipstick collection is really lovely. I’m finding I reach for matte shades a lot more in the winter, especially bold ones! Applied properly, I find them easy to wear and long lasting. 111 Kiss of Life is the red lipstick – it’s a bright, pillar-box red! Out of my whole collection, 107 has to be my absolute favourite. I’m really into bold, berry shades at the moment, and 107 is so flattering and such a gorgeous colour.
That’s my current collection of Rimmel lipsticks, and I’m sure it’ll continue to grow (I can’t keep up the lie; I’ve already bought another one since taking these photos!) I might invest it some high-end lip products as well this year; I’m lusting after everyone’s Tom Ford and MAC lipsticks – especially those nude shades!
