Of all the beauty stores I visit, Lush has to be my favourite. The good ethics, the friendly staff, the great products, the natural ingredients, the smell – it always adds up to a great experience, both in the shop and at home! I’m practically incapable of walking past a Lush store without popping in and getting at least a bath bomb.
A few weeks back in my Lush Empties post, I talked about doing a big Lush haul! That day finally came when my mum took me shopping to Westfield (White City) for the day as an Easter treat. She definitely enjoyed it too though, as at one point I turned around to find her getting a hand massage with a body conditioner from a gorgeous man with a blonde top-knot (needless to say, she bought it!)! Anyway, here’s what I picked up…
This gorgeous, dark purple shampoo is one of my favourites. I bought a tiny bottle ages ago and loved it, so I promised myself I’d pick up a big bottle as soon as I could. The purple pigment, from the violets, is great for tackling the brassy-ness in my bleached blonde hair, and the lemons make it shiny and bright! (Plus, it smells delicious.)
American Cream Conditioner
I’ve never used this particular Lush conditioner before, but I couldn’t resist its gorgeous strawberries and cream scent! I’m very excited to try it, as apparently it makes your hair smell amazing for ages, rather than just disappearing after your shower.
H’Suan Wen Hua Hair Mask/Treatment
It’s times like this I’m glad I don’t do YouTube: how on earth do you pronounce this name?! When I told her I had damaged, dry, bleached hair, the lovely lady who was helping me practically threw H’Suan Wen Hua at me (not literally). I’ve made myself a hair mask of olive oil, eggs and banana before but it was the most unappetizing thing I’ve ever seen to the point I nearly didn’t want to put it in my hair! H’Suan Wen Hua contains all those ingredients, and more, but looks and smells far nicer! I can’t wait to use this hair mask; I’m sensing it’s going to do amazing things.
Dark Angels Facial Cleanser
Dark Angels featured in my Lush Empties post, and I just had to grab myself another one. I currently use Coconut Oil as an evening cleanser, but I wanted something less oily, but still natural, for the mornings. Dark Angels is the perfect answer – I love the fresh smell of this cleanser, and my skin loves the ingredients! It’s messy, but it’s always worth it.
Avobath Bath Ballistic and R&B Sample
It wouldn’t be a proper Lush haul without a bath bomb! I picked up Avobath because of the gorgeous colour and fresh, zingy scent. The lemongrass and avocado are very energizing, so it’s not great for the evening. However, I can’t wait to use this in a luxurious morning bath! The super helpful lady who advised me on all things haircare gave me a sample of the R&B leave in hair conditioner. The reviews online are really positive, and obviously it smells amazing. Anything that de-frizzes my hair is a winner in my book!
I’m super happy with all the things I picked up; they’re already making my bathroom smell heavenly. And of course, a super big thanks to my mum for treating me to so much lovely stuff!
