Burt’s Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream

Burt's Bees Almond & Milk Hand CreamI got this Burt’s Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream quite a while a go, in one of my infamous Boots trolley dashes. Burt’s Bees is one of my favourite skincare brands; their beeswax lip balm absolutely incredible! However, it was only at the start of the year that I got around to using this hand cream regularly. It’s quickly become one of my favourite winter skin products!

To start with, I really like the rustic packaging. Although the glass pot isn’t very convenient for carrying around, it looks lovely on my bedside table, with its creamy packaging and cute metal lid. The cream itself has an amazing, buttery texture and you can really smell the almonds and the milk – which is gorgeous!

However, it is one of the greasiest hand creams I have ever used! I popped a bit on in college and was pretty much unable to write; my pen was still slipping around in my hand for at least an hour afterwards. So as a daytime, on-the-go hand cream, the combination of the glass packaging and greasy finish make this one practically useless.

But, that isn’t to say its not a great hand cream! As you can see below, two of the main ingredients are sweet almond oil and beeswax; both of which are incredible natural moisturizers. I personally like to use mine as a kind of night mask for my hands. I really slather it on at the very end of my evening routine, right before I go to sleep. In the morning, my hands are baby soft!

Over the winter, this hand cream really saved my hands from the cold air and wind. It’s so good, I gave it to my mum to try as well. My mum suffers from really dry skin on her hands, to the point where she sometimes gets very painful splits in her fingertips. She was really impressed with this one, and believe me when I say she’s tried hundreds of hand creams!

If you’re into hand creams, or you suffer from dry hands, I would definitely recommend this one from Burt’s Bees. Used at night, with another less greasy hand cream during the day (I use Soap & Glory’s Hand Food), this cream has worked wonders my hands!

What are your favourite hand creams?
