These are some products that I’ve loved so much I’ve used them to the bottom of the bottle. I thought I’d start a series of posts sharing products I’ve completely finished because I’ve used them so often; sharing the love with you!
Where better to start than with base products?
Moisturiser No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream for Normal/Oily Skin £12.50
This moisturiser is one of the only ones I’ve tried that actually stood out from the rest for me. It feels very moisturising, but non-greasy, and sinks into the skin quickly. When fully dried, it has an almost matte finish – providing the perfect base for applying make-up. Definitely worth the price!
Primer No7 Colour Calming Primer in Green £10.50
This product is a lifesaver. The bright green colour counteracts any redness on your face (green being the opposite of red on the colour wheel). It helps cover spots and blemishes, as well as helping make-up to last. I generally mix a pea-sized blob into my foundation to get the benefits all over my face. (Please excuse the messy bottle – just proving how much I use it!)
Foundation Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow in Believe in Me Ivory £26.50
I’ve been using Hello Flawless for years now. It’s a brightening foundation, and gives my face a really nice glow. Its also got brilliant coverage with just a light application, but it builds up well too for a thicker coverage. Expensive, but worth it!
Concealer Bobbi Brown Creamy Concelear Kit in Porcelian £24.50
This concealer is expensive, but worth it. It’s fantastic at covering under-eye circles and covering spots – so it does everything you need a concealer to do! I usually get a good few months of use from each pot. I’m actually half way through a review for this concealer, so more information to follow shortly!
Highlighter YSL Touche Éclat in Shade 1 £25.00
There’s a reason this highlighter is a complete cult product – what more can I say! The light really does belong to Yves Saint Laurent.
Powder Max Factor Professional Translucent Loose Powder £7.99
I only recently discovered the joys of powder, having always thought that it made my face look overly-made-up and cakey. Have I been missing out! This powder is the first that I’ve ever bought and used regularly. Although not strictly translucent – its most definitely pigmented – it does the job and makes my make-up much, much longer. (Only downside would be that it can be a little messy to apply, but that’s true for all loose powders!)
So that’s my BotB base products! Do you use any of these products? What are some of your BotBs? Let me know in the comments!
