I haven’t done a Bottom of the Bottle post in a while, as I’m a great one for half-finishing things and then having them disappear into the depths of my dressing table (plus my endlessly finished Dove body washes aren’t really that interesting…). But I’ve gathered up enough empties to make a substantial post now, so I can share some of the things I really love and use all the time!
St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse
For me, this is the best fake tan there is. I apply it with a mitt before bed, and by the morning my skin’s streak-free and a gorgeous brown. This particular bottle has lasted me such a long time, I think I bought it for my Fifth Year Prom (I clearly don’t use it that often!) I am thinking of starting a more regular fake-tan routine, however, as I was looking through old summer photos and I much prefer how I look when I’m bronzed.
Akoma Raw Shea Butter
I did a whole post about my love of pure Shea Butter a while back, and this stuff is the real deal: 100% pure Shea Butter. Your skin has to be pretty damp when you apply it, preferably post-shower without towelling, but it’s one of the best moisturisers I’ve ever used. I really should get around to ordering some more!
Bio-Oil
I’m pretty self conscious about the scars on my legs, and the first thing out of people’s mouths when I mention this is ‘have you tried bio-oil?’. It’s not cheap stuff, so I bought this little 60ml pot to see how I felt about it. I think I’ve seen a small improvement in the appearance of my scars, but its also really tackled the dry skin on my legs! I’ve now bought a bigger pot; as your meant to use it for a minimum of 3 months and I definitely want to carry on using it as I expect more improvements!
Soap & Glory Hand Maid Hand Cleansing Gel
This is an absolute hand-bag essential for me, as I hate the thought of eating with dirty hands. I prefer this to other hand sanitizers simply because of the fab Soap & Glory fragrance.
John Frieda Sheer Blonde Instant Silkener
I don’t really know how to describe this product; its sort of like a hair cream. I used it to smooth and soften my hair before I discovered hair oil. Both products work very similarly, but my John Frieda hair oil just feels a little lighter and like it’s absorbed by my hair, so I’ll probably just stick with that as opposed to repurchasing this.
L’oreal Infallible 24H Foundation
I’ve cracked through yet another bottle of this foundation (not saying it runs out quickly, just that I love it that much!). It’s the one I reach for 99/100 mornings as the medium/thick coverage is just perfect for me, and it lasts all day. I’ve already repurchased!
So there they are, my most recent empties! Comment with any of your empties posts, always like having a snoop at what other people’s favourites are.
