As I mentioned in my recent outfit post, I met my sister up in London a couple of weeks ago. We were originally heading up to the Fashion and Textile Museum to see an exhibition on Liberty, but once we realised how close we were to Borough Market, we decided to detour there first!
The first stall we visited was this amazing organic juice bar. They made all their juices from scratch, right in front of your eyes, with fresh, organic ingredients. I had an apple, coconut and pineapple juice, and I seriously could’ve drunk buckets of the stuff! I’m going to try and recreate it tomorrow, using Coconut Milk, Pineapple juice and fresh apples.
Out the back of the market there were more sweet and bakery style stalls, including this brilliant Free From bakery. They apparently sold the best Gluten/Wheat/Dairy-Free Brownie in London, so obviously I had to try it. I’m seriously not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best brownies I’ve ever had – it was rich, creamy, chocolatey and certainly not a compromise on the wheaty, dairy version.
Before heading off to the museum, we really fancied a burger. The stall selling beef burgers had such a long queue, we decided to branch out and try Chicken burgers instead. This is Borough Market, so of course they were delicious!
If you’re a foodie and you find yourself in London, I’d seriously recommend a trip to Borough Market! It’s brilliant for a lunchtime snack, or stocking up your fridge with quality ingredients.
