Elizabeth Ruby of House Willis, First of Her Name. Queen of the Andals and of the First Men, Lady of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm and Mother of Cacti.
I’m Lizzie, I’m 20 (born 1st September 1996), 5 foot 8 and I can usually be found in that bit of England right between London and the sea. I live with my parents, my older sister and the family zoo – currently including our beautiful new puppy, Tess; the overweight guinea pigs, Sybil and Nancy; and the adopted love-bunnies Dylan and Luna.
When I’m not there, I’m in Southampton. I’m currently studying Fashion Marketing at the Winchester School of Art (Uni of Soton). I’ve been working towards a career in fashion marketing/PR for as long as I can remember: my love of clothes, fashion and shopping goes without saying.
I started blogging in October 2014 because my mum couldn’t stand my endless talk about makeup any more. And I discovered, despite what my family suggested, I was not the only person in the world who was obsessed with all things facial. I’m not alone in getting weirdly excited about nude eyeshadow palettes and the look of a fresh, untouched lipstick. I found a world of people for who staying power, pigmentation and finish were genuine issues that needed to be regularly discussed at length. And I stayed.
I’m also a massive nerd (if you haven’t already guessed), which surprises most people. Some people’s families are into a football or rugby club; my family’s into Lord of the Rings. That’s probably how it started, and it ends with Game of Thrones, Harry Potter and the Elder Scrolls (#PCGamer). Okay, so I wouldn’t ever cosplay, but I could probably draw you a basic map of Westeros from memory. I just really like dragons.
And cacti. I’ve got about 30.
